New year updates & how to create more in 2023

So the first thing that I want to say is, THANK YOU. Okay, I always have to thank you all because it means so much to me, for your orders, for your support, for your continuous contributions to what I'm doing and seeing you all, tagging me and posting and sharing, allowing me to be under your Christmas tree, during this holiday season meant so much to me, and I truly don't take it lightly at all. So thank you all so much. And this year, my phrase for 2023 is:
“Master the basics. And where I’m mastering the basics is in these three areas: money, mind and management.”
In an upcoming vlog, I'm going to be talking more about that. But for now, I do want to let y'all know that I got a new shop coming for you. All right. It's been a minute now it's been time that I've been needing to rebrand. And we're also creating a new website called shop.aohamer.com. And that's where all of the merch-based items are going to be: the prints, the clutches, the journals. Y'all, we comin’ with a little bit of new new, okay, just a little bit. And I say a little bit because I'm reminding myself of the phrase that I have for this year, which is Master the basics, it ain't about going bigger, it ain't about adding more, it’s not about just burning yourself out, okay? It's about doing less, but doing better.

Speaking of new artwork and new paintings that are on the horizon, ya girl got her first gallery show! Of course, not my first gallery show ever but my first gallery show of 2023 and I'm super excited about it. You are invited! If you are out here in the Pacific Northwest, then you can come on down to Public Display Art gallery that is downtown. All of the information will be linked in the show notes of this blogcast episode.
The date of the show is January 5th which is a Thursday (TOMORROW). It’s coming up real soon, y'all and the time of the opening reception is 5-9p.m. PST
And the pieces that are in that show are two special pieces that I recently finished. One is called Higher, and the other one is called Shadow. And if you follow me on YouTube, then you probably know those two paintings, because I dedicated two separate videos just for those paintings where I talked about doing shadow work. And of course, that's the shadow painting. And then some messages and guidance from my higher self. And that is, of course, the painting called Higher. So if you've ever wanted to see my original paintings in person, here's the opportunity to do it.
But if you are not vocal, I am making monthly opportunities for us to vibe and connect. And for you to see what I'm creating in my studio. I'm super excited because we just finished up our first YouTube live stream of the year, just this past January 2, I did a live stream on YouTube where we was hanging out talking about our creative goals. I did a poll on YouTube and about 73% of the over 100 votes said that one of their goals for the new year was to: Create More. So, we were on the live stream for about an hour talking about those goals, talking about some of the tools that we can implement in order to be more creative. So I'm going to be doing that every month, every first Monday of the month, you are invited, it's free, it's on YouTube, it's available to the public, you can come. Now the thing about it though, that YouTube live stream isn't going to remain on my channel, it'll just be live during the time that we are LIVE, obviously lol. But then when the live stream is done, I'm gonna take it down and that's going to be available to my patrons over there in the Patreon community.
Now that we got some of the housekeeping things out the way. Y'all, I want to share some tips with you. (Listen to the audio for the creative tips)
Yeah, I just wanted to come through and share some creative tips. And if you are looking for more, check out the YouTube channel, because I think I have about three different videos now where I talk about my creative rituals, and eight creative habits that I do. And I have that as a playlist on my YouTube channel.
So I definitely highly, highly recommend checking that out if you want to get more inspired. And if you want to hear the YouTube live stream that we did just yesterday, then of course, if you are a patron, it's already live, and it's available for you over there on Patreon. And if you are not, you're invited to join a Co-Creator community. And if that's not right for you right now, y'all, you know, that's totally cool. Because what I am going to do, we're doing these live streams every single first Monday of the month. So I hope to see you potentially at the next one, which is going to be February 6. Yes.
