Why the zodiac prints are only available for 30 days?

Welcome beautiful being! This is Aramis Hamer and you are listening to another episode of her blogcast. Her. Why do I be talking in third person? Any who! I'm excited to share this with y'all because I have been asked this: as to why I have only made the prints available for 30 days and so I think this will be a perfect opportunity for me to address it. So let's dive in. Pretty much. After about five years of me being a professional artists, really, I've been on this journey for about seven. But just through these years of me working as an artist, I've just learned so much. And shout out to just analytics, okay! Whether that comes down to me looking at the analytics of my Squarespace website, or seeing some of the data that's on the back end of my YouTube channel. Whenever I look at that information, it gives me so much data on what's actually been beneficial for my business. So what I've noticed from that is that I usually get the most sales during a launch time. So it's like when people are excited about it, when we have a whole lot of hype around it...perfect. When the product goes live, that's usually when people are shopping and buying the most. And then it starts to fizzle on down as the weeks and months go on. But whenever there are still those small little sales kind of trickling in, there's still stuff that I have to manage, right? I'm still you know, we still managing customer service things, we still shipping out more orders. And it's just a process in general. And so now I'm learning like, okay, maybe we can just really concentrate some of the efforts on our launch, really giving people the opportunity to get it while it's here, making it limited edition, make it an exclusive and really encouraging people to get on the email list so that they can have first access to it...and they can get discount codes. So that also frees up my time as well as an artist. So I'm not just so much hands on deck, when it comes down to the business.
It's freeing up my time where I can even focus more on my creativity and my paintings and making sure that I'm actually creating the work that has allowed me to live this life as a full time artist. So when it comes down to a practical side, that's literally the practical explanation as to why I'm only making them available for 30 days.
But see now the other aspect of it is really defining, really creating a life that I want to live. And that process is not always working! You know, I feel like in this day and age of social media and all of these glamorous things, entrepreneurship has been put on a pedestal. But a lot of the behind the scenes isn't shown and y'all we are pretty much working constantly non-stop. And when we aren't working on our business, we're thinking about our business, we try to figure out a new product to launch or a new something to create. And so in the process of me making sure that I'm just taking the time to hone my creativity, having some time to unplug having some time to visit family, hang out with the hubby Andy, making sure that I'm connecting with my friends, I'm realizing that it actually worked better for me to work in bursts where I have bursts of energy, like we have this launch coming up and then we rest, then we have a burst where we have a new product launch. And then we rest. And during that rest and reset, it allows me the opportunity to focus back on my creativity and continue to build and expand. So I'm really just creating the life that I want to live and having a bit more balance. And it's just been so beautiful. I'm just so grateful. And I just really want my work to encourage people to do the same. It's so amazing just seeing the prints in you all's home and seeing the frames and seeing like where you decided to put it up. And so if I'm creating these goddesses who are confident and beautiful and bold and courageous and honor themselves and really focus on self care, it's like I want to do with the same things as well. And one of my favorite paintings. Of course I have many, right, but one of my favorite paintings is titled Liberation. And it's this blue goddess. She's bursting out of these gold chains and she is just owning her identity, owning her life and owning her truth.

That's one of my favorite paintings. And I remember after I painted her I was like, Okay, I see sis body ody ody, okay, she is body goals out here and I am loving it! And that's really when I started my own personal fitness journey. So it's been so great where my paintings really unfold experiences for myself. And it starts me on my own personal journeys. And so I feel like Liberation was that painting that I created where I pretty much created this, like, ideal body that I wanted. And I started to work out and actually obtained that body. And so the Zodiac series was a series that was really honoring the cycles, honoring our moon cycles, honoring our sleep, our routines, our eating cycles, seasons, maybe trips with family, just honoring different things in our life that helps to restore balance. And I know for me, astrology is that element that reminds me to stay in sync with nature. We actually recently had bought a house this past August, and we have a greenhouse, and I'm so excited to plant all my different flowers, all these different things, and I just be thinking you can't plant in the winter, that's not the best time to plant, you know what I mean? There's a huge importance to actually honoring those cycles so that you aren't trying to climb uphill, you know? We can actually live in the stream and flow of life. And so that was definitely a huge element that inspired me to create the Zodiac series.
So, now that I'm in the process of making them available to the world, they are just reminding me to honor my cycles and to honor this time of high energy, and then rest period, high energy and then rest period. And so that's exactly what we're doing with the launch of the Zodiac prints. We are launching them cyclically and we are having a time where they are available to the public and then they go away. I think there's also beauty in that. Sometimes when we make things available too much for people, people don't appreciate it now, but I'mma say that too, okay! There's a whole nother level when something is always available to you, which always makes me think about Cali like, I feel like people in LA, they don't understand. It's always sunny, they don't appreciate that sunshine. But in Seattle, like when the sun comes out, I just be so grateful. Because we have these seasons, we have these, like dark cloudy times where it's just like, oof, okay, I'm trying to get through this seasonal affective depression! I'm trying to make it through, then the sun comes out and it just makes me so grateful for the sun. So I think whenever we can honor the times when something isn't available for us, we can appreciate it that much more.
So hopefully, that has been people's experience with these prints. And at the same time, I do want to make them available for you. I don't want to punish anybody or make somebody feel like they have to like hurry up and get them, so of course at some point they will be made available again to the public. But for now, they aren't. So whenever that cycle is gone, whenever Spring is gone, we have to wait again for spring to come. Of course we all love Summer. We all love Summer and Spring, but we can't have Summer and Spring all the time. So it's important to honor it and appreciate it and be grateful for it when is here.
