This new moon energy inspired me to change somethings in my life & business
Finished up my yoga flow this morning (barefoot). Afterwards decided to snap a pic with my SpongeBob socks. Ain’t they cute?? 🥰 I love surrounding myself with silly things that bring me joy, no matter how grown I get! Yoga, running, dance, and overall movement grounds me back into my body when sometimes I float too far 🌠
Formless was a painting I created back in 2018. In that year, I also started to dedicate more time to my meditation & yoga practice. A lot of my art is a reflection of what I’m processing at the moment. I’m grateful to house the body of a Black woman, at the same time I know that my true being is formless & limitless. This painting felt like a self portrait of how I see myself in my meditation practice when I release to go beyond my body & into the spirit ✨
When I finished the painting, I got it scanned to make a digital image of it. From there, I printed the image on a yoga mat in hopes to make them available to the world. Once I received the samples, I was disappointed with the quality of the mat so that idea was squashed 🫠 But who knows? Maybe one day I’ll find the perfect company to bring this vision back to life. For now, I do still use the yoga mat because I really like the painting. It’s a reminder that I’m a formless light being, while my movement practice reminds me that this physical body still needs maintenance.
