“You all might have seen my latest YouTube video, which I was showing behind the scenes of The Zodiac Show, but I also had a long rant about limiting beliefs and money mindset. And this actually leads me to the topic of today's blog cast episode. Let's dive in, okay?, I want to talk about why I don't like sales on artwork, besides the obvious of it just being so belittling and diminishing to the artist and the time and effort and energy and creative power that it took to bring this art into life.”

“For like new people who will be coming in, pretty much people who like don't know me from Adam or Eve, and they just like, “I want some art, but I'm not trying to pay full price. Where the sale at? Where the deal at?” You're in the wrong place, okay? Because that's not over here. We ain't for that. If you follow me on Instagram, you might see some of the posts that I make around Black Friday, which is like, “No Black Friday sale on this here studio rent. So it ain't gonna be no sales on these prints.”

“Welcome to the new people. If this is your first year finding out who I am, maybe YouTube brought you my way; maybe you just discovered me on Instagram; maybe you just found out about my work at a show; maybe you just saw the Zodiac show that was up at 9th and Thomas. So if this is your first time meeting me and getting to know me, Welcome. Everybody is truly welcomed in my space and in my studio. But [there’s] just something to be said when somebody comes to you, as if you literally makin’ wall art that you will find a Target.. That's not what your girl is making.”

“Y'all. My goal out here is not to sell art. That’s not my goal. That's never been my goal. My goal has always been to create art. So in any aspect that I make my artwork available to the world, I believe that I'm providing a gift with the world, that it's a privilege for people to have my art in their home.”

“I have unlearned a lot of the bullshit around my own worthiness. And it feels so empowering, and so liberating. And I feel so worthy of all the gifts that I have been granted, while knowing that I am a channel and a vessel for the Creator, to be able to bring whatever message to the world needs to be presented. But also, I understand that money is energy just like everything else on this planet. So if somebody wants to share their energy with me, they are welcome to do that by having my artwork in their home. But also, they can also just experience it from the pixels on Instagram; if somebody is not capable, or is not in a place where they could make the financial investment. I feel like I'm still doing my part by just showing up in this digital space. When you think about art, art is free to experience. It's free for you to see my pictures on my website. It’s free for you to listen to somebody's music. It’s free for you to watch YouTube videos online. But now, when it comes down to the opportunity of having somebody's creation inside your home, where you share in the ownership of that work; that's a whole different level of exchange.”

“But there's something inside of me that truly feels appreciated. Like, the smaller version of me is thanking myself for coming to this realization and having the understanding that you don't, you don't have to you don't have to shrink yourself, whoever wants wants to share in the light will join you, whoever doesn't, or whoever isn't able to, in this current time will possibly be able to join you in the future, or maybe not join you at all. And that's okay, too. You know what I mean? And there's, there's so much growth that's been on this journey, and I'm so grateful for that.”

“..if this is somebody who I like and somebody who I value, I want to show up to them in a way that feels comfortable for them. Like I don't want to break anybody's boundaries. Like whenever I watched celebrities talk about how they kind of get like, tired if somebody's asking for a selfie, or somebody's asking to for a signature; like maybe they're not in the mood that day.. I'm kind of taking mental note of that. So if I do see a celebrity, I'm like, Okay, how can I actually acknowledge them as a person and not just try to slam my phone in their face to prove to Instagram that I'm relevant, and I'm cool, because I met the celebrity and now like, let me just show you, you know, and so just when I hear different people talk about the way that they want to be treated, I feel like that all helps us as people also think we teach people how to treat us. So maybe this is another level where I can share with my art collectors, how artists like to be appreciated and how just the general public can can do better with their interactions with artists. There's so many I'm laughing because there's just so many funny memes on Instagram. About like, just I think this is audio on Tik Tok. That's like, it costs so much because it takes me fucking hours or something like that. Like if y'all have heard that tick tock or seen that comment below.”

“If you don't know, I don't like sales, okay. There will be minimal sales that will be presented to the world in my career. So if you are trying to strategize when you want to collect something when you want to buy something, I would suggest the best time to get anything for me is around the launch period. When something first comes out, that's when I'm having the most sales and the most promotion around something, because to me, I honestly like to reward first time buyers versus like late buyers. Personally as a as a collector and just as a shopper, when I paying full price for something and then like later something goes on sale I'd be like, Damn, really? Like hold on, really? I was an early adopter. Okay, I was somebody who bought it early. It almost feels like sometimes businesses punish people who are buying things first because then later there's this sale and I'm like, Damn, for real? So for me, I like to flip it. The people who are shopping with me early, like the first time or like during the launch, those are the people who I want to I just want to give back to the most and provide the most discounts for that because to me - that's better than somebody who late to the train; who now seeing that it’s popping; now seeing that the candles are lit; now seeing that the greeting cards are popping; now seeing that the prints is where it's at. You know what I mean? I want to say thank you to the early supporters who are really getting it first.”

“So like right now even though it's June, we're planning for holiday launches, holiday campaigns, different marketing things we're doing around the holiday season. So holiday shopping is kind of on my mind. And so I'm super excited for that y'all because literally this is the year! First of all, we did The Zodiac Show, which was absolutely amazing. If you missed the last blog cast episode, make sure you listen to that, where I share more about that. 2022 is the year y'all; everything dropped; we make everything available. Okay, all of the Zodiac prints are going to be available during the holiday season. If there's any candles left, the candles will be available for the holiday season as well. But we are doing a second launch on the candles, okay, the candles is coming to the world in July - launching Monday 7/11 at 7:11am PST. So mark your calendars. If you missed your chance to get a candle, now's the time to get the candle. We are bringing them back and they are gonna be lit.”

“There's so many fun things that are going to be in the works for next year that we are already planning now. If you watch the YouTube channel then you probably know that I've been teasing some of the sleek, satin, sexy robes that will be a part of your self care routine. Stay tuned; that is coming next year in 2023.”

“If you aren't listening to this before June 30, then all of the Zodiac prints are available on the website. We made them all available on the site for y'all for the month of the Zodiac show. [This is the] one and only time to get them before the holidays.”

“Let me know down below where and when you are listening to this, and if you have any feedback on limiting beliefs around money. If you've tried to slide in some artists' DMs looking for the freebie again, has it been you? Or are you an avid art supporter and an art collector (how I know you are) for being over here with me and supporting my work?”
